St David's Hospital, Leander Texas

As the new Leander Texas St. David's hospital is being built, i can't help but think of the fields of the little purple pineapples, Leavenworth's eryngo, that used to exist where the St. David's Emergency Room is now. Yes, they have gone in with an "artificial" landscape but it is not as showy or good for wildlife as once was. It just breaks my heart to see the natural spaces destroyed and ugly, high water use "fake" landscapes installed. I feel like the Lone Ranger until I get around my friends in the Native Plant Society.
