Hooded Sunburst Lichen Journal

To begin with, Hooded Sunburst Lichen is also known as Xanthomendoza Fallax in the scientific world. This type of lichen can mostly be found on the bark of trees, however unlike other fungi it is rarely seen on rocks. The upper surface of this lichen has a yellow and greenish color, while the lower surface is mostly white. It has a medicinal property which is: in the past they used to utilize for a disease commonly known as jaundice because of the yellow color it has. Furthermore, it has a common human use which is: it was a model organism for the genomic (genetic information of an organism) sequence. Last but certainly not least, they receive moisture through rain and dew and the nutrients from dust that settles out on them.
