Even though some sections of the walk were too wet to explore, we got lucky with the weather - not too hot, not too windy and no rain. A lovely group of people all enjoying the reserve and happily pointing out special things for everyone to enjoy. This included a kookaburra, a bowerbird, wrens, bell birds, insects and various features of the many plants surrounding us. Our guide for this walk was Jennifer.
The orange in the river is iron that is present after heavy rainfall filtering through sandstone.
The sheen visible on the water is bacteria that feeds off the iron.
