Tree Frogs and Allies (Family Hylidae)Observer
bmwhitneyDescription
Black hylid(?) frog about 3 cm long in humid, lowland (near sea-level) rainforest about 30 km south of Ubatuba, São Paulo, Brazil. There were 3-4 individuals on leaves about 1 m above an isolated pool of water inside forest; no sound heard. Photos taken November.

Bat Anole (Anolis phyllorhinus)Observer
bmwhitneyDescription
Anolid with conspicuous, orangish/reddish, sword-like appendage on snout, red dewlap with white border (no photo of that). Tail exceptionally long; iris gold. 4 m above ground on treetrunk at terra firme rainforest edge, right bank of Rio Roosevelt near provided coordinates. Anolis phyllorhinus (Horned or Bat Anole) seems closest match, but proboscis is laterally compressed and straight, not upturned or tapered to a point.

Enormous toad, stood about 16 cm, underparts pale with scattered, slightly darker blotches, hunting on terra firme forest trail at 03:30; much rain recently. I am guessing at genus, as suggested here by iNat.
