For a couple of mornings, a whole bunch of nymph Largus bugs were foraging on fallen juniper berries (or other fruits) in our driveway. Then they were gone.

This looks like it's probably Chionodes mariona or C. phalacra and I can't tell how to distinguish them.

The 2nd image shows a young-of-the-year bird with a blotchy breast patch. These were two of a family group of about 4 or 5 BTSP that I encountered in dense brush.

Description

Because of some recent research prompted by the Timberlake BioBlitz, I was going back through all my Eoreuma moths and found this example which apparently belongs in the genus Haimbachia. Note the complete thin terminal line and the faint arching subterminal line on the FWs. The discal dot is faint but present and the black speckling inbetween pale veins is scattered rather than concentrated along the veins. This individual matches at least one photo of #5485 H. indistinctalis although there are other Texas species lacking illustrations on MPG and BG. I'll place it here for the moment as the closest match.
