Observations by madbean

Was looking for geoducks on the low tide line, but dug up one of these instead. The fatter top of the wider end was at the surface, and the rest of the organism was in the sand, so it looks similar to how geoducks appear at the surface. My best guess is some kind of worm? Acorn worms come up as a suggestion, but it doesn't look quite right.
