ABOUT ME
I am a self-taught naturalist from Minnesota currently living in Arizona. My botanical interests pertain to the flora of North America, especially the genus Rubus. In the summer of 2020 I started taking notice of the blackberries at my favorite prairie and oak remnants, so I ordered Trees and Shrubs of Minnesota (2008) and went from there. Since then, I have uploaded hundreds of Rubus observations to iNat from my adventures in MN and other states. My current long-term project on iNat involves cleaning up the vast sea of Rubus observations. Questions and concerns regarding my edits are welcomed. For general Rubus information or help with an ID, feel free to DM or tag me.

I follow the guidance of FNA's selected references (Bailey 1941-1945, Davis 1990, Davis et. al. 1967-1970, Widrlechner 1998), as well as Trees and Shrubs of Minnesota (Widrlechner & Smith 2008), Steyermark's Flora of Missouri (Widrlechner & Yatskievych 2013) (dewbs), and Flora of the Chicago Region (Rericha & Wilhelm 2017).
