I am a retired marine biologist, diver, photographer and author of marine life guides, e.g. Whelks to Whales, Coastal marine life of the Pacific Northwest (2022- 3rd edition).

I am currently a Research Associate, Invertebrate Zoology, Royal BC museum, studying sponges, introduced and invasive species, and a variety of invertebrates and fishes (e.g. Plainfin midshipman).
