I am interested in studying fungi and looking to advance my career in mycology. I have been studying fungi since December of 2019, and am working with WVMS Funga, a study group at Willamette Valley Mushroom Society. I registered our club with the FunDiS project and we were awarded a grant to sequence 50 of our specimens in 2021. Our efforts in identification will hopefully be useful to a wider group through iNaturalist.

I am also a photographer, artist and graphic designer and work with publishers to design and publish books. One of my goals it to help photograph and design a mushroom field guide. I hope to work on one some day. For now I started a website www.mycoradicate.com to document my research and fungi journey as I learn more each day.

My favorite books to reference are Ascomycete Fungi of North America by Michael Beug, Mushrooms Demystified by David Aurora, Mushrooms of the Redwood Coast by Noah Siegel and Christian Schwarz, and Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest by Steve Trudell and Joe Ammirati.
