Margaret is an environmental geographer and practitioner of the dark art of botanical keying; she lives and "works" in the bushland of the Blue Mountains, NSW. Her husband Mark assists with photographs especially those that require kneeling.

Margaret has long COVID following two bouts of this pestilence since late 2022 which limits her bush activities and sabotages her brain sometimes. She is thankful that iNaturalist helps her to maintain identification skills by verifying the observations of others in the Blue Mountains region.
