I'm a newbie naturalist with a varied interest in California foraging, plant identification, and a love for birds, insects, and all living things. The pandemic turned my interest of nature and hiking into a necessary weekly ritual to keep my sanity. After purchasing the book "Flowering Plants of the Santa Monica Mountains" by Nancy Dale, I became very interested in using it to look up plants I would pass on my hikes. I then joined my local CA native plant society chapter and found out about iNaturalist and now I'm hooked. I studied Film & Photography and currently use those skills to photograph the natural world to help people be more aware of how our surroundings are changing. I'm very interested in education and am considering pursuing an additional degree in biology or ecology. I hope you enjoy my photos and don't hesitate to follow!
