I am a retired chemist based in Fitchburg, WI, USA with a lifelong interest in plants and insects. After starting with recent photos from a trip to the southwestern US, I plan to follow up with a selection of my older pictures, that is scans from slides for the initial three decades, of which I am still very fond. Many were taken in locations that I no longer have the physical ability to travel to, and can thus not be replaced. The quality will early on be going way downhill, despite often heavy editing. This is going to improve over time, although no material from those days gets even close to a decent 24 Mpx digital shot. Exact colors should be taken with a pinch rather than a grain of salt.
