International Day of Biodiversity

May 22nd is the International Day of Biodiversity! Head outside and see how many different species you can find and observe.

Participation is easy:
1) Have an iNaturalist Account (www.inaturalist.ca)

2) Join the Georgian Bay Biosphere iNaturalist Project (https://inaturalist.ca/projects/georgian-bay-biosphere)

3) Submit your photos or sound clips of different species (plants, moss, fungi, birds, mammals, etc!) on May 22nd and May 23rd.

Remember:
1) All observations must be within our Biosphere Boundary (map on our project page)
2) You must select our project on each observation.

The goal is to celebrate BIODIVERSITY, so the person who submits observations of the most different kinds of species to iNaturalist will win $50 towards GBBR's Native Plant Sale!

Aren't sure what you see or hear? That's okay!

The iNaturalist community is great at helping ID species. Species are all around us! Have fun and keep an appropriate physical distance at all times.
