Extra Details

The list of species was taken from this paper: https://www.doc-developpement-durable.org/file/Arbres-Bois-de-Rapport-Reforestation/mangrove/mangroves.pdf (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0065288101400034)
I also saw lists on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mangrove#Taxonomy_and_evolution) and the book Wikipedia used (https://books.google.ca/books?id=uwT6SMY-oNAC). I assumed the newer paper would be more reliable.

The "project" was inspired by this thread: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/create-a-id-category-called-mangroves-that-captures-the-different-families-that-make-up-mangrove-species/6927

You may wish to consult Duke (2014) MangroveID app, which contains a comprehensive list of world mangrove species and associates. https://apps.apple.com/au/app/mangrove-id/id761487621 (Apple) and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.halfnine.imangroves2&hl=en_AU (Android)
