Protea subulifolia - leaf length

To determine if Protea subulifolia and Protea ericifolia are one or two species.
To help, whenever you encounter this species, please record the leaf length (in mm).
Choose the longest leaf in the middle of the latest growth spurt (early and later leaves tend to be shorter: so choose the longest leaves near the middle of the most recent growth.

The pattern is :
Agulhas Plains - leaves shorter than 10mm
Hottentot Holland mountains - leaves 20-50mm
Riviersonderend - leaves longer.
The question is is this leaf length continuous or are there gaps.

There is also a population at Woeska (Cloetes Pass): is this a new species? Need data please. less ↑
