I'm a broadly interested naturalist with special interests in evolution, ecology, and behavior. Taxonomically, I am especially interested in herptiles (reptiles and amphibians), arthropods, fungi, mammals, and birds (roughly in that order). I grew up in the mountains and plains of southeast Wyoming, and managed to largely avoid discovering my naturalist self until college. I've studied wildlife across much of the US, particularly in Wyoming and Louisiana, as well as Ecuador. I did my master's thesis research on the behavioral ecology of the Gulf Coast Toad and am currently studying the comparative evolution of frog calls in Oklahoma.
