this keys to C. nana, but the wing maculae is not consistent with what is described for that species and the genal cones are slightly longer than half the vertex length. possibly still within the variation of that species, which I have been finding sporadically over the past few days (admittedly from higher elevations), or maybe an undescribed relative. beat from ?Mimosa sp

with this observation i've now recorded all Ceanothus psyllids previously recorded in Arizona (plus one previously unrecorded), bringing the species count to 4 for this host in the state so far. Adults and nymphs were both present on plants in this area, but the nymphs, very hairy and with no accompanied fluff, are very different than what is known for this species. It is possible the nymphs belong to a different species, as multiple Ceanothus psyllids tend to be found on the same plants

a few on arizona madrone. similar to Neophyllura arbuti except:
- wings less narrow
- wings more uniformly colored and darker overall
- eyes not elongate and recessed as in arbuti
- different host
Previously known from the Chiricahuas and Huachucas, now known from the Santa Ritas. Efforts to find the species in the Catalinas have so far not been successful

on the basis of the very long genitalia, this is probably a different species than the willow Cacopsylla at mid-elevations, but I've not attempted to ID either yet
