Nesting female!

Observation of prey in female American Kestrel's bill (kestrel observation: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/201252556). Local population of this lizard is a favorite Kestrel food.

A red-tailed hawk caught it, had a few bites and then flew off.

Likely toads

Attempting predation of larval Pseudotriton ruber (it was struggling to handle it and kept getting washed downstream).

Small frog, between 1-2 inches, right eye did not develop. Black spots on back. Found at night on side of pond

I am not good with desmognathus yet without tail pics, and only got these before it ran away... if anyone can diagnose with just these I'd appreciate it if u could lmk how :)

By Island Pond in Harriman, saw two of them and didn’t know Harriman was within their range

Striped individual that had regrown its tail in lead back phase, super interesting, was not aware that they had the ability to change their phase!
