I've included some habitat photos for context. This is prairie remnant within an urban context. I was part of an extensive and successful restoration program (under the direction, supervision, and tutelage of habitat restorationist Sherri Laier) that included multiple proscribed burns and a great deal of common and glossy buckthorn removal over multiple years. The work done here is a testament to the rewards of diligent and back-breaking natural area restoration even in an urban context.
