Fierce! About 1/2" long, scurrying around near a vernal pool (and ocassionally swimming across short distances). When threatened, assumed this "scorpion" position, with three weird things extended out from the tip its abdomen oozing white stuff (poo?)! Is this a juvenile Ohlone Tiger Beetle?
