We dug some dirt out of the garden to plant some milkweed. This was found living in the pot of dirt a few days later, it apparently came in with the dirt (so not, it's not "cultivated") and was definitely dumped back outside!.

My guess is a rabbit based on size.
During this hike I walked by this spot and did not notice this hip/spine of a mammal lying there. It was very obvious when I was retracing my steps during my return to the car. This makes me think it was dropped here during my hike!
Throughout my hike I heard ravens calling as they worked their way south of my position to Rt28, then north along the road, then ultimately they flew past me just NW of me later on. I only ever heard single calls but when they flew past, there were two together. The calls were likely just for them to keep track of each other. I think the ravens dropped the hip/spine after I walked by this particular spot as there were no tracks anywhere near this (except my own) to suggest a terrestrial animal dropped this.
