Orange Mycenas with dark brown caps and stems, though still having bright orange gills.

On hemlock
Set aside for the next batch of DNA testing
Spore print white
I got some really beautiful shots of the spores
Blue tones in the cap and along the gills next to the stype. Would not emit "milk" but it had been very dry for several days prior. No bruising. Mild taste.
Beautiful dark brown

Originally I thought this might be a Gymnopus b because there was some white oak nearby as well as hemlock and maple although the grouping of them was found predominantly under hemlock. But where are the gills attached to the stipe does not match with Gymnopus. Therefore Uracei is a total guess.
Growing from standing dead birch in mixed woods, predominantly hemlock; two specimens apprx. 6-7 & 10 foot up tree.
Spore print pink, spores smooth with apiculus measuring 6x4.5 um, Qe=1.3. Pileipellis in cutis (photo 9), abundant pleurocystidia, many with hooks, measured three all projecting apprx. 50 um above surface.
Growing abundantly on a fallen Betula alleghaniensis stick. Strongly bioluminescent. Not fluorescing under 365 nm UV light. Odor not distinctive.
