3 different mines on the same birch tree
Second time seen at this location, four days after the initial observation. This individual was collected shortly after after this image was taken and will be deposited at the New Brunswick Museum.
Individual #1 (Based on elytral markings)
In a wet mature mixed forest. Leocarpus (red) on the top of the small birch snag. Also in the photo is the fungus Clavulinopsis (orange), a moss (lower left) and Common Script Lichen (Graphis scripta - the small black squiggly lines on the birch snag)
Adults emerged within a few weeks of collecting the mine

Relatively confident in my ID and this is a species known for the region. However, it is certainly not 100% and would love other opinions.
