See this observation for the story of this specimen: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/128505363
This specimen did not fly while I was observing it, even when it came back from its ostensible burrow to collect its quarry.
It seemed to drag the tarantula by its fangs.
Temperature was in the mid 70s°F. The day was overcast.
Thanks,
Arthroverts

These were considerably rarer in a grassland swarming with Brachystola magna and other grasshoppers; only two were found. Had beautiful yellow wings when in flight and were intensely evasive; these photos were very difficult to get.
Thanks,

Surprisingly difficult to find. Unlike K. williamsi and K. bogerti which are often found on exposed surfaces, K. oxy seems to be more similar to its closer relative K. savaryi in that it requires thick canopy cover. Annoyingly, all but one individual seen was deep inside a rock crevice or hole, making most of the 10 or so we saw impossible to capture.

Observed feeding on a European Earwig (Forficula auricularia). This specimen is a juvenile of the Phidippus genus, although I'm not sure which it might be, but it's likely P. adumbratus going off appearance alone.
