This was a small, well-known population of this endemic shrub. The population was growing in shallow soils over Austin chalk in the "back 40" of the cemetery property, where they disposed of excess rock, etc. The local area was, and is, under intense development pressure. I haven't been back to the cemetery to see if this population still survives behind the cemetery.
Fruits from this population were harvested to propagate the species elsewhere.
