This amazing moth was one of the first of the night. There was no electricity at our first lodge in the cloud forest, but the candles set out for dinner were bright enough to attract some moths. Lots of these cloud forest moths were incredibly stunning; eye spots were a common theme.
This one never stood still, but instead constantly was flying against the wall. I luckily managed to catch him in flight with the wings spread.
