First of the year! Always such a treat.

Wall brittle, puffed when touched. On the lower side of a log

Temps in fifties (F). Slight drizzle. Scant snow/ice on ground. Wet. Actively crawling through leaf litter.

Vocalizing and doing sallies back and forth from those dead branches. Pics a little fuzzy because of dim lighting at sunset and long exposure setting.
