Description
Geotag is approx., but it was pretty near our maximum distance from shore, and after we reached some bluer, warmer Gulf Stream waters. It was only 3 or 4 degrees warmer, not a nice hot tropical eddy like we'd been hoping for -- but the difference in the color was really marked.
polar.ncep.noaa.gov/ofs/viewer.shtml?-wnatlzoom-temp-0-la... is a Gulf Stream viewer -- totally awesome. And really shows the chaotic nature of the eddies.
