Perennial herb growing from a tuberous rootstock. Leaves just starting to emerge at flowering, grass-like. Inflorescence 1-2, laxly several-flowered. Sepals mostly curled back. Lip with 3 crests and some papillae on mid-lobe. Flowers considerably smaller than collection BB3829 also ID'd as E. venulosa and found several meters away.
Growing in miombo woodland near rocky outcrop in sandy loam soil.
