Protographium on Citrus australasica : RPRR Lismore NSW AU
In my front lawn! I had seen it sticking its head out of a hole for a while but it went under. I laid down in the lawn a little ways from the hole and started making squeaky sounds and it immediately popped up to investigate.
Juvenile Southern Desert Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma platyrhinos calidiarum) discovered active in the evening, southeastern San Diego County, California
Amazing opportunity that I almost didn’t achieve, as I was snorkelling around Babinda boulders, a platypus had made itself known, quite undisturbed by everyone, meandering it’s way through the leaf litter on the creek bed, I was able to get some very insightful video footage of its behaviour once my GoPro decided to work again.

The rest of her eggs are being incubated at room temperature, the weather is generally hot & humid, approximately 15 - 30 degrees C.
We hope to follow the progress of the other developing embryos inside the eggs.
Only found a single larvae. Larvae on Avicennia marina. According to Kitching and Orr and the relevant species pages on Bob’s Butterflies (I compared apelles and epicurus), apelles should be tended by Crematogaster sp., and epicurus by Anonychomyrma sp. Thanks to @Chris Burwell, I could confirm that the attendant ants were not Crematogaster sp.! The caterpillar also just ‘looks better’ for epicurus based on images on Bob’s website and others. Stoked but will have to return to find some adults! :)
