Description
I had a hard time identifying the agamids on this trip, so any input is appreciated.
ID and locality info based off of my notes from 2004. I tried to update taxonomic changes.
Thanks to my father, Dr. Tod Reeder, for having me on this trip.

Description
Seen active in dry shaded section of creek Gully. Moving through leaf litter, stopped, looked onto leaves and sitting still, struck at a frog hidden in the leaves (Litoria nasuta?). Successfully caught frog by head, slowly lifted body and retreated back the path it came, disappeared into bush still with frog half caught in mouth.

Identified as Cryptophis nigrescens on Bowerbird by Jordan de Jong: "Difficult to distinguish from a slatey-grey but it's a small-eyed snake. The prey species is a spotted python, Antaresia maculosa."

Poor snake...this is how he was found in our backyard...a mystery - was he dropped by a clumsy Kookaburra??? And if so, how did the bird find him when he should be hibernating or brumating...poor thing...
