On rhyolite, wet schlerophyll. Viola sp. Common in area. Flowers held above leaves on scapes longer than the leaf petioles (scapes generally more than 2x the length of petioles). Scapes 70-90mm long with 1-2mm bracts more than halfway along their length (ca. 3/4 of the way). Leaf petioles 10-40mm long. Laminas 5-10mm long, 10-15mm wide.
Nearby (within 0.5 metres) were what appeared to be V. perreniformis with hairy petioles and not flowering
