Spoke with multiple sources, professors, and nudibranch researchers that suggested a new species, could be cryptic or pseudo-cryptic. Genetic testing would clear up this mystery but i haven’t seen anything like this since. While coloration doesn’t always mean it is a new species there are several examples within the nudibranch order that prove it’s possible (e.g. Doriopsilla). Although I only had my iPhone on hand, I have several other photos I can provide for more details. Let me know your thoughts!
