Seine net from shore (southeast side of Ponquogue Bridge); An experienced local marine naturalist has made a compelling argument that this specimen is a Mahogany Snapper, not a Northern Red Snapper (as I had initially thought); I am interested to hear various opinion on its identity

I went fishing in an area of grapevine lake this weekend, was fishing for sunfish but also did some catfishing!
I went over to this creek that was a runoff of the lake and decided to fish that spot and mostly caught bluegill but i caught two fish that shocked me, one i think is a pumpkinseed (Bottom) and the other i think is a Pumpkingill (Top), i did not think their were pumkinseed in this area so im confused to how they ended up here, both fish ended up being used for catfish bait on grapevine lake

I went fishing in a part of the trinity river for sunfish and bass, but the sunfish were hungry !
Im not sure what this is but it is some sort of hybrid?
It appears to be a Rio Grande Longear X Redbreast or Spotted sunfish
I know that redbreast and longear are in this water but im not that confident about spotted?

These guys can pretty much be caught at will from Cheney at night, use a dim light to find them and drop a bait in front of them and they will hit every time, if they aren’t your light is too bright
