Northwestern Rabbit-Tobacco (Pseudognaphalium thermale)

Description

This extremely fragrant (kind of vanilla-minty) plant was growing on a rocky, sunny slope along the trail. It was about two feet tall, with little fuzzy blossoms, most of which were already faded, but a few were tipped in yellow (first photo). The grayish-green leaves (see last photo) were long, thin, and alternate on the tall, stiff stems. Maybe P. canescens?
