Description

Massive red slime flux on a deciduous tree (update 2021/04/30: Cornus alternifolia) in a park, carotenoid probably made by Xanthophyllomyces dendrorhous / Phaffia rhodozyma.
Consistency of the slime: viscous, frothy, gelatinous.
Smell: alcoholic/yeasty and a bit fishy, after 2-3 days acidic.
Taste: completely neutral.
Microscopic image: without dyeing technique diffuse, some threadlike structures.
Dried-up state 1 week after 1st images.
