In a hemlock forest. Immature single specimen. Very gray cap contrasted with rosy/fuchsia stem. Stem turned blue where handled. Cap flesh and stem turn blue when cut. Immature pores are cream. Bitter taste. Caloboletus roseipes has been suggested on the FB group Boletes of N.A., based on habitat and stem red from bottom up.
