A bit too far for good photos, this bird was in an area where Amazilia Hummingbird visits the Tropaeolum harlingii which is sprawling across the lower areas and also climbing to the tops of the smaller trees.

Three different people have looked at the photos and all said it is the Esmeraldas Woodstar. Two said young male; I look forward to any feedback.

The rains have prevented a return, but as soon as possible I will return to the location and sit/watch/observe and hope to see it again.

Fresh kill. Contamination is starting to move into bull creek at the concentrations able to kill. Putting it closer and closer to the Ohio. Additional photo added to provide the ODNRs stance on whether or not fish are continuing to die.

Registro realizado durante en monitoreo de colonia reproductiva en la isla de los pájaros donde además de la Agamia agami, anidan otras 14 especies de aves acuáticas (ibis, cormoranes, garzas). Durante el monitoreo se cansaron 50 individuos, en su mayoría con plumaje reproductivo bien desarrollado, cortejos, construcción de nidos e incubación de huevos.
