Description
Was swimming 30ft from shore. Saw it surface once, look around, and then it dived and that was the end of the siting. Observer got a good look at the shell and flippers. Observer was about 100m above the water and observed the turtle from a 50 degree angle from the deck at Bamfield Marine Science Center. There may have been jellies in the area.

Hooded Nudibranchs "huddled" with hoods down.
Had this unique behavioural observation recently. I have already checked in with experts (Lamb, Behrens, Fletcher, Kocian) and they have also not seen this before.
I don't believe they are mating. In my observations of mating, Hooded Nudibranchs pair up and orient right-side-to-right side, bodies elongated.

Description
All photos of the female were taken after conceiling its real nest (in the 2nd and 3rd pics, she is on a decoy nest) and during her return to the sea, the 5th photo depicts other tracks and the last two shots examples of the WWF work regarding protecting nests (old ones). The whole process from emerging from to return to the sea took ca. 95 minutes, the nesthole was approximately 70 cm in depth and 25 cm in width
