Found sitting on the side of the road while driving by. Later taken to wildlife rehab, where we were told it is suffering from brain swelling. Currently on medication, and I will be receiving updates on its health!

Watched this Common Raven completely dismantle a bee or wasp or hornet nest and then fly across the road with a big chunk of it. The bird spent several minutes feeding on whatever remained in the interior of the nest. The third photo shows a close-up of one section of the nest.

Description
This record was ultimately rejected by the OBRC, although the unacceptably brief explanation was mostly down to uncertainty of clear ID criteria. The record was vetted as Cassin’s by both Peter Pyle and Dave Irons, as well as others experienced with the species. I’d like to continue this discussion.
