This Green-tailed Towhee was very busy scratching in the dirt at the edge of a parking area in Natural Bridges National Monument.

I like to take pictures of plants that decided to germinate and grow in particularly scenic locations. This Creosote Bush has a nice view of Ubehebe Crater near the north end of Death Valley NP.

A small herd of bull Roosevelt Elk was wandering onto Finley NWR from the nearby hills.

A small flock of mergs was foraging upstream close to the bank of the river.
