Description

February 21st, 2017 mid day (12-12:30pm ish). I was hiking and some fellow hikers that were in the trail told me, “there are 20 sheep over that way if you want to see them” I immediately perked up, and the couple walked me over where we could see the sheep, really far away in the distance, a cellphone picture would turn out horrible of them they were so far away. I sat on a boulder watching them, from a far, far away distance, trying to get pics on my cellphone but they were turning out horrible. Then the craziest thing happened. All the males kept getting closer, and closer, browsing on the plants. All the females and young ones kinda moved back up the mountain and out of view. The males kept eating with their heads down and kept walking closer. I stayed where I was, getting this picture on my cellphone. They came up so close to me, while I just sat there and watched them. I was crying so hard I was so happy!!!!! One of the best moments of my life. There were about 10 rams and the other group (I’m presuming all females, although they were so far away it was hard to catch all their genders) had about another 10 sheep. 20 ish total. This trail is known to have large groups of sheep like this every once in a while, and the sheep are pretty use to people due to the popularity of the trail.
