Photo is an actual photo of live insect taken by me at the time listed 2023-10-01 16:43:29 at OAK airport arrival terminal for southwest flight (SWA3845) from Baltimore. It was found alive on a passenger inside the airplane while landing, captured, and euthanized in the airport terminal. All details (ie coordinates, time of photo) are exact. No other individuals were seen but a detailed search of fuselage was not performed by poster.

A solo visit, nearly my first in 10 years. These records are solely for the boat ramp and observation tower. The weather at 1113 was partly sunny, 75 degrees ("feels like" 75), and breezy. I left here at 1320 and headed home.
A long and skinny blue fish. They swim near the surface and use their long mouthed to catch prey.

Found running down middle of road, parents found shortly after with the gosling being reunited successfully.
Under our bird feeder, first time seeing this guy
several in the large pond
Surprising find, previously caught this individual on April 15th, 2023. Glad to see it's back and around.
May be hybridized judging by the more pronounced ridge on the nut and the fact the tree seems to be winning its fight against canker

Two individuals in wild among group of Canada Geese
Tented mines on plants labelled as Rhododendron 'Windbeam'. Not sure if the tag is accurate, but these plants are certainly evergreen members of the Rhododendron tribe.
Female, likely dropped eggs in the pool already.
Wildlife from Ilchester Meadow
Two individuals visible in second photograph.
No other observations of these nearby, wondering if anyone can help with the species. Ambystoma laterale or unisexual?
Two pseudoscorpions on legs of crane fly
On Peltigera. Sciaridae is a placeholder until a further determination can be made. There are lots of presumed mines on soil-substrate Peltigera in the area, seemingly only on wetted portions of the thalli. Edit: last two photos of a larva that came out of a lower (to the ground), inner portion of thallus.

A small lamprey in a coolwater stream. Either an American Brook, Ohio, or least brook lamprey I think.

I collected this snake because I wasn't sure of its identity. Although at first glance it looked a bit like T.gracilis it didn't match exactly. I have seen a lot of gracilis from this general area.
It was preserved and deposited in the TCWC. It was later identified as T. atriceps by Jim Dixon. I don't know the basis of this ID.
It really doesn't "look" like atriceps should, but the scalation and hemipenis appear to match? If anyone wants to check it out in the TCWC collection, it should still be there!
Tenemos dudas. Huella de unos 12-14 cm
