This observation is for the Monarch caterpillars.

I wonder why they have the darker discolouration.
Injury? Unwell? Other?

Rescued from pool skimmer bucket.

4 points. Spike horn and if you look closely you can see a ring of velvet matted around the antlers.

Found shell on gravel shoulder.
