Other spp: Eucalyptus obliqua, Cotoneaster sp, Acacia longifolia, Acacia pycnantha. Pteridium esculentum
Large gorse infestation along this bank from boat ramp car park towards the pine tree. Mixed in with existing native vegetation. Reported to WCC 2015, 2017, 2020, 2023, 2024.
Has periodic treatment but gaps in control time are too long.
Scattered plants within native grassland, firebreak, and grass woodland. Counted 270 at Easter 2024. Had a CFA burn May 2024. This gorse is all small and would be controlled by an annual VicRds budget for herbicide as it is all within the road reserve which is mostly native grassland. Ploughing the firebreak here is spreading the seed north and south.
