Locality: NEW ZEALAND AK, suburb of Saint Johns, St Johns Bush
Habitat: Dead standing tree trunk (probably not Pittosporum), infested with cossonine weevils. One Maoricoris was observed, active on trunk. When found, it was apparently holding, and feeding on, a dead adult Torostoma apicale.

A pair in copula when found. Several nymphs also observed. First photo shows female. Second photo shaows female (left) and male (right).
The camera was playing up slightly, and the proportions may be slightly distorted.
Macrotrachelia nigronitens (Stål, 1860)
On Callistemon sp., growing over fence into Paddington Reserve. In leaf-roll gall of Teuchothrips disjunctus, the first leaf that I picked! I didn't search for any more.
