Description

While looking at the goings on of the small ants, I noticed this slightly bizarre dead ant further down the bank. Seems to be stuck end on into the clay bank. Very convenient for photographing as it wasn't moving. This is perhaps twice the length of the small ants, and another single individual appeared out of the bank a couple of times, but didn't stay long (see last photo)
