... or a sponge?

This sponge was seen almost completely covering the roof of an overhang. This sponge was only seen once at this site.
I think the genus identification is correct due to the surface structure. Those three small specimens from Zambratija are very blue, as I stated a few days ago, not just blue-ish like the other observations I upped ... I doubt this is caused by refraction only.

Maybe Plakina monolopha? It seems to be the most common species.
In Pansini, Manconi, Pronzato: "Fauna d'Italia - Porifera I" (2011) there are 10 Plakina species listed for the Mediterraneis, neither of which is explicitely described as being blue-ish (at least sometimes).
Wall near point, cave, overhangs, rubble at bottom. 6-21m.
AI suggestion was Celleporaria bryozoan. My initial thought was a sponge, then ascidian.
40ft – 12m
This sponge was near a similar looking sponge but I’m counting them as separate organisms since they weren’t physically connected (from what I could see).
40ft – 12m
This sponge was seen at the beginning of the dive on a small reef head.
2-10m
These three pieces of sponge were seen underneath a dead Elkhorn coral.
