The nest was low in a mountain laurel bush and was in shadow except for a few glints of sunlight. Presumably, this was a female incubating eggs. Her mate was singing nearby.
This is the same nest shown in the previous photo (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/197493468), but a couple of weeks later. It shows several nestlings and an adult feeding them.
