Western Honey Bee (Apis mellifera)

Description

A smooshed dead Western Honey Bee found on the sidewalk outside classrooms. The last photo shows the location. The 2nd photo shows how I found her. She was seemingly stepped on, either when she was alive or dead.

I frequently find dead Western Honey Bees in this courtyard.

A female Western Honey Bee that I rescued from a manmade stream in the UoR's LaFourcade Community Garden. Western Honey Bees frequently visit this freshwater source to drink.
